Daflon 500mg
is a phlebotonic and vasculoprotective agent,
it reduces venous distensibility and venous
stasis; in the microcirculation it normalizes
capillary permeability and reinforces capillary
resistance; in the lymphatics it improves
lymph flow and reduces oedema.
Therapeutic
indications:
Treatment of venous disease.
In
Phlebology:
Chronic organic and functional venous
insufficiency of the lower limbs with
the following symptoms: heavy legs, pain,
nocturnal cramps, oedema.
Varicose veins.
Sequelae of phlebitis.
In
Proctology:
Haemorrhoids
and acute haemorrhoidal attacks
In
Gynaecology:
Clinical
manifestations of capillary fragility: DUB/IUCD
induced bleeding
Side
effects:
Rare
cases of minor gastrointestinal and autonomic
disorders have been reported which never required
cessation of treatment.
Drug
interaction:
None
Precautions:
Experimental
studies in animals have not demonstrated any
teratogenic effects and no harmful effects
have been reported in man to date. There is
no contraindication in pregnancy and lactation.
Dosage
and administration:
2
tablets daily: one at lunch, one at dinner
In case of acute haemorrhoidal attacks: 6
tablets daily for 4 days followed by 4 tablets
daily for 3 days. The maintenance dose is
2 tablets daily for a duration according to
the physician’s discretion.
