SERDIA
is a leading company in the field of phlebology since
more than a decade and is dedicated to increasing knowledge
and recognition of venous disease in India.
SERDIA has significantly contributed
to increasing the awareness of epidemiology, pathophysiology
and management of venous insufficiency through well
sought clinical studies such as the RELIEF study. SERVIER
the parent company of SERDIA, has been a pioneer in
research into the mechanistic aspects of venous disease
linked to the pathology, clinical manifestations and
pharmacological studies. This is evident by the fact
that Daflon 500, the only reference phlebotrophic, is
a worldwide leader in the treatment of chronic venous
insufficiency.
SERDIA’s presence is largely
felt at major scientific congresses in the field of
phlebology, organized by National and International
scientific societies. Some of the National meetings
in which SERDIA actively participate are VSICON (Annual
Conference of Vascular Surgeons of India), AOGI (Annual
Congress of Obstetrics and Gynaecology Society of India),
DOGS (Annual Conference of Obstetrics and Gynaecology
Society of Delhi) and APICON (Annual Conference of Association
of Physicians of India) to mention a few of them. Some
of the International meetings include the prestigious
Union International de Phlébologie, International
Union of Angiology, European Venous Forum and Latin
American Venous Forum.
In the field of colo-proctology SERDIA’s
contribution is worth a mention in making the management
of haemorrhoidal disease much more convenient. This
is also evident by some interesting clinical studies
conducted by SERDIA at the All India Institute of Medical
Sciences, New Delhi.
SERVIER, the parent company of SERDIA
is a partner of the Union Internationale de Phlébologie
(UIP). Every second year Servier sponsors the Servier
Research Fellowship, awarded by the Research Fund of
the Union Internationale de Phlébologie. This
important fund is open to young researchers who have
a specific interest in the fields of phlebology and
lymphology. The Servier Research Fellowship provides
a 30,000 USD grant for 2 years’ work on a research
project selected through a highly competitive peer-review
procedure. For more details click

SERDIA, as always, will be involved
in the field of phlebology with the main thrust of fostering
